Things to do on a Rainy Day

First rains of the season always make everybody happy. First rain is a great relief from the scorching summer heat. Rains revive the earth, cool down the hot climate, and make the greens looks even more greener.

However, as the rains become more frequent, it becomes a troublesome season. It becomes difficult to walk or drive in the rain, your clothes tend to become dirty, and soaking too much in the rains can even give you a cold! But, don't let all these small reasons stop you from enjoying the rains.

Before you start reading the ideas mentioned list of things to do on a rainy day, here is something you should do. Close your eyes and visualize its raining, what is the first 'enjoyable' thing you would like to do, when it rains?

Are you going to call somebody special, are you going to make a cup of hot cocoa, or are you going to go out and get wet in the rains? So, whatever comes first to your mind is the thing you should do on a rainy day. Here are some ideas of things to do alone, that you should definitely do. Take a little time out for yourself, a day off during the rains, and a long walk in the rains. Make sure you wear shorts, a pair of waterproof sandals, and carry a rain jacket or an umbrella and some cash along. Take a long walk and watch everything, you can even lunch outdoors.

Then go to the movie hall with your children, you can stop at a place to buy your children ice cream (or candies if you don't want them catching cold/cough from the ice cream). Then watch the movie with them and on the way back, play in the water puddles with them, you can also click their pictures while they are jumping in the puddles.

If you are in a new relationship, then spending a rainy day together with these romantic ideas will be a new experience for both of you that will help in bonding with each other more. The first thing you should do is call up your girlfriend/boyfriend early in the morning and ask them if they are free for the day.

Surprise your girlfriend by showing at her doorstep in the morning, take her on a long drive on your bike, go for a brunch to a nice quiet place, then take her to your place, play some soft romantic music...

Make sure the dance floor is a hard and even place to avoid any slipping accidents. Place the stereo under a shade to avoid getting it wet, place the speakers on stand, and cover them with plastic properly to avoid any water damage. Call your buddies and enjoy the party!

Take your bike and ride to a nearby green hilly area, then sit on a hilltop and enjoy the view.

Make sure you use a rain jacket or umbrella while going out in the rains to avoid getting completely soaked. And eat a lot of vitamin C to prevent catching cold during rains, also take a shower once you come back home to avoid getting sick. Apart from that, there is nothing stopping you from enjoying the rainy day!
