Exciting Things to Do This Weekend

Parashar Joshi
Weekends are the time to relax, rejuvenate your body, and spend time doing all the things that you like. In case you're still confused, here's a list of interesting things that could top your to-do list.
It wouldn't be wrong to call a weekend a reward that is long awaited after the busy occurrences of the week. The entire continuance of time through the week is met with eventful situations, forcefully asserting a need for reprieve.
A peaceful vacation of two days unhinged and free of work. Under the Christian Faith, the observed law demands to consider the day of Sunday as the Lord's day to be kept devoid of work or effort. Here's how you can spend it.

Bungee Jumping

If you happen to be an adrenalin junkie, then bungee jumping is just the thing for you to do. Find a nearby place that is popular among bungee jumpers, and off you go! It can be an amazing experience and something that is truly one of a kind.

Paragliding

And if Saturday's bungee jumping experience hasn't completely fulfilled your appetite for adventure, a few minutes of paragliding on a Sunday afternoon is sure enough to do so. Spread your wings, sail like an eagle, and feel like a man on top of the world!

Take a Short Nap

After spending some time stretching the semblance of life, it's time to get back on the ground. Have a cup of refreshment, preferably something cold which eases the mind, and sequester for a short nap.

Reading

If it's a dark and rainy day, what better way to relax than to curl up in bed with a good book and a mug of steaming hot chocolate? Sounds inviting?
If it's a beautiful summer day, you could simply tie a hammock between two big, shady trees in your backyard, and laze around the whole day, sipping pina coladas, reading a racy thriller, listening to your favorite music, or you could simply take a long afternoon nap. A well-deserved Saturday siesta.

Flea Market

Shopping is something that can always lighten up a dull, boring Sunday. Head out to your local flea market and feel the buzz. Flea markets are places where you get to see and buy the latest fashion accessories, and that too, at dirt cheap prices.

Go Karting

If speed is what you like, you could head over to your local go kart track and enjoy a few fast laps around. Set free the speed demon within you and feel your pulse race.

Visit Religious Places

Use the time to visit a place of worship and pay your respects to the Almighty. It will give you a sense of calm, and will instantly make you feel good about yourself.

Road Trip

Thinking of a short trip with your family? Include a variety of interesting activities, one of which could be to take a short trip.
Pack your car with basic camping gear, and head out for a nice getaway in the woods. Other ways to spend the day would be to visit the nearby amusement park, water park, or a beach. You could also rent a boat and go boating or sailing. You could teach your kids fishing or you could enjoy some water sports such as kayaking, jet skiing, etc.
In addition to the aforementioned activities, here are a few more that you could consider:
  • flipping through old childhood photographs and reliving those golden days.
  • Going for a nice relaxing spa.
  • Making popcorn and watching a nice romantic movie with your partner.
  • Inviting close friends and relatives for a karaoke night.
  • Writing down interesting happenings over the past week in a diary.
These were some suggestions about the possible different ways to spend a weekend. Go, have fun!
